- Depending upon the job on offer, you may or may not be in charge of a team of people. The job of a Tanker Broker is deleted pressurised and requires someone who is dedicated and determined.

Key skills and qualifications of a Tanker Broker:

- A Tanker Broker must have excellent numeracy skills, be methodical and be able to problem solve.
- Excellent written and verbal skills are required as communication is key to this role.
- Working within ship brokering is a very intensive career choice as the hours are long and you may be required to work weekends and so this role is suitable for people who have a very strong work ethic.
- A Tanker Broker needs strong commercial sense and the ability to research markets thoroughly for their clients to ensure sound market intelligence and advice is presented at all times.
- You must be able to use the Microsoft Office suite.
