A reputable moving company is searching for an Operations Leader for their facility in Portland, ME. 

The Operations Leader will play a hands-on role in the organization, in addition to managing and scheduling employees, ensuring customer satisfaction, organizing daily moving operations, ensuring proper portfolio care, and serving as the primary decision-maker daily.

Responsibilities of the Operations Leader role include but not limited to:

• Using the movement survey data to determine each job's requirements, then allocating workers and vehicles accordingly. 
• Being in charge of the moving company’s everyday operations notebook. 
• Ensuring that the work is finished on schedule so that the client may move in on schedule. 
• Completing and submitting the necessary paperwork. 
• Keeping an eye on both employee concerns and employee arrival times. 
• Giving the transfer managers work costs. 
• Staying in constant communication with various organizational areas to make sure everything is moving forward as planned. 
• Configure the calendars of other parties and outside workers as necessary. 
• Arranging for the shipment's arrival and departure from the warehouse. 
• On-demand work that comes up as necessary.

Skills and requirements:

• Three years or more of experience in the moving and relocation industry in operations management. 
• Ideally, possess previous Van-Line expertise. 
• Outstanding IT skills, including mastery of the Microsoft Office program suite. 
• Ability to communicate in writing as well as verbally. 
• Superb people management abilities. 
• An enthusiastic and motivated work ethic. 
• The capacity to establish and keep solid connections both with external partners and within corporate divisions.
