Alchemy is now assisting a reputable moving company in its hiring process for an Operations Manager for its Raleigh, NC, facility.

The Operations Manager will have a hands-on role in the company, in addition to scheduling and overseeing staff, guaranteeing client pleasure, coordinating daily moving operations, maintaining correct portfolio upkeep, and acting as the main decision-maker day to day.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Determining the requirements of each job based on the results of the movement survey, and then assigning personnel and vehicles appropriately. 
• Overseeing daily activities for the moving notebook. 
• Ensuring timely completion of the job to meet the client's move-in date. 
• Completing and sending in the required documentation. 
• Monitoring completed tasks, issues, and employee arrival times. 
• Providing job costings to the transfer managers. 
• Maintaining regular contact with different departments within the organization to ensure that everything is proceeding according to schedule. 
• Set up other parties' and external employees' calendars as needed. 
• Scheduling the arrival and departure of the shipment from the warehouse. 
• Ad-hoc work that arises.

Skills and requirements:

• At least three years of operations management expertise in the moving and relocation sector. 
• Ideally have prior Van-Line experience. 
• Exceptional IT abilities, including command of the whole Microsoft Office suite. 
• Capable of communicating both orally and in writing. 
• Exceptional people management skills. 
• An inspired and driven work ethic. 
• The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both outside partners and within company departments.
