This position is responsible for supporting the business’ day-to-day operations, ensuring that the relocation process is efficient and optimized and supporting the current household goods and warehousing teams.
Responsibilities for the Senior Director of Moving Services role include, but are not limited to:
- Work together with the leadership group to carry out the division of moving services' strategic plans.
- Managing the operations management staff, keeping an eye on their KPIs for assessing performance, and creating guidelines and regulations to promote best practices.
- Establish and preserve connections with vendors, carriers, and suppliers for the purpose of negotiating contracts, prices, and service agreements.
- Work together to create fresh approaches to client development with the sales and marketing departments.
- Create and manage procedures for quality assurance and ensure that standards are up to the highest possible level.
- Work together across departments to coordinate common services and maintain alignment.
- Any additional ad hoc tasks as needed.
Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, transportation, logistics, economics, or a similar field.
- Practical experience in the transportation, moving, warehousing, or associated industries, with at least five years spent in a supervisory capacity.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication abilities.
- Track record of success in a leadership role.
