ISM ISPS Auditors Jobs

Working as an ISM ISPS Auditor in Maritime presents great career opportunities. ISM (International Safety Management) and ISPS (International Ship and Port Facilities Security), are processes widely used in the Maritime sector.

Being an auditor is not the same as being an inspector. Auditing looks at how ships and shipping companies manage their quality, environment, security and safety. This requires the formulating of procedures, which have to be implemented within the organisation to ensure compliancy to set industry quality standards, ie ISO 9001. The purpose of imposing standards on the organisation is to ensure the company demonstrates the standard in everything it does and to help the company to continually improve as it moves forward, keeping pace with technology and best practice.
