Job Summary

We are working with a well-known New York based Art Dealer. They are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Gallery Administrator.

The successful candidate’s duties include but are not limited to:

  • Control the gallery’s internal calendar system and handle phone traffic
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the gallery’s official accounts on social media platforms
  • Ensure the information on the official website is kept current and continuously updated with any news or events that take place within the gallery
  • Graphically design all the gallery’s informative documents including leaflets and posters in a creative format
  • Offer general support in the run up to exhibitions and art fairs
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements for the gallery owner
  • General maintenance of the Gallery and upkeep of the electrical appliances within it
  • Other adhoc duties

Additional experience required: 

  • Previous experience working within a similar position in a gallery or museum
  • Applicants from a personal or executive assistant background would also be considered
  • The ability to remain calm in busy periods
  • Educated at degree level
  • Fully competent with the Adobe programmes InDesign and Photoshop
  • Flexible working attitude as you may be required to work evenings and weekends
