Job Summary

A new and exciting opportunity has become available to join a global corporation as a Senior Global Mobility Advisor.

This is an internal role, responsible for international mobility and assignment management of company employees across the EMEA region.

You will serve as a subject matter expert within global mobility and will provide on-going support and supervision to the Global Mobility Associates.

Key duties of the Senior Global Mobility Advisor include;

International Mobility Management:

  • Manage the full assignment life-cycle, handling a caseload of international assignees across EMEA
  • Providing ongoing advice to the assignee population throughout the mobility process
  • Ensuring successful mobility management of EMEA assignees
  • Preparing international assignment documentation and managing instructions for payroll and HR
  • Supporting tax, social security, immigration management and compliance for international assignments
  • Providing assistance with the coordination of the annual management processes
  • Ensure budgets and estimates are accurate, advising on overall costs
  • Identify areas for improvement within mobility policies and processes and support improvement implementation
  • Build strong relationships with internal colleagues including across other key departments such as HR
  • Share knowledge of changes and developments within the international mobility space to support the development of the wider team
  • Providing advice to internal stakeholders on global mobility policies and compliance topics
  • Vendor management and liaison with service providers including; immigration, relocation and taxation
  • Working on ad-hoc projects to support the Global Mobility and HR team.


  • Providing guidance and advice on assignment management processes and procedures
  • Acting as a mentor to the team and assisting with questions and queries
  • Ensure the successful performance of daily duties relating to international mobility management from the team
  • Serves as first point of contact for escalated queries and issues providing resolution accordingly
  • Supporting workload allocation and distribution across the international mobility team
  • Reporting into the Senior International Mobility Director providing regular updates on team performance
  • Providing on-going training and guidance and providing updates to the Senior Director for them to address during performance reviews

Key skills required:

  • Direct experience managing an international assignee population in-house
  • Previous supervisory or dotted line management experience within an international mobility role
  • Highly knowledgeable on global mobility and international assignment practices and procedures
  • Degree or equivalent ideally in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Analytical, numerate and a quick learner with high attention to detail
  • Proficient user in MS Office; Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong relationship building skills and cultural awareness
