Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced International Mobility Specialist to join our client in Amsterdam.

This position will be responsible for providing international and domestic relocation coordination to employees.

The main duty of this role is to serve as the international mobility specialist, explaining the relocation policy, benefits and initiating relocation services.

Key responsibilities of the International Mobility Specialist:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Global Mobility & Relocation services
  • Perform initial assignee briefing consultations with relocating transferees
  • Manage international assignments, challenging moves, complex relocation policies and handle a high volume caseload
  • Provide a quality global mobility concierge service, serving as the single point of contact 
  • Coordinate the delivery of all family relocation services through continuous communication
  • Identify problems, solutions and opportunities for improvements within the HR and global mobility service function
  • Update authorization/cost estimates with benefits package details
  • Liaise with the expense team to ensure the timely deposit of relocation benefit allowance
  • Manage all payments to partners and track all relocation spend for reporting
  • Exceeding customer service expectations relating to international assignment services
  • Provide household goods shipping coordination as required
  • Provide guidance and advice on global mobility and relocation-related questions and queries 
  • Liaise with destination service providers (DSP) regarding the assignees' needs 
  • Coordinate and track authorized relocation benefits including household goods shipments
  • Provide coordination support  during relocation policy briefings, move-in, packing and delivery

Skills and experience required:

  • Sound knowledge of international mobility, assignment services and relocation 
  • Understanding of international assignment cost estimates, HR, payroll and social security would be advantageous 
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Keen interest in expatriate management 
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills
  • Able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem solving and judgement skills
  • Highly numerate
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Cultural awareness
