Alchemy is partnering with a multinational biotech organisation in their search for a Senior Analytical Development Scientist – Inhalation to join their team in Bend, OR.
The inhalation team is growing and focuses on inhalation delivery routes and deliverables. The Senior Analytical Development Scientist – Inhalation will be responsible for method development and validation to support process development, tech transfer, release testing, and stability activities for inhalation programs.The Senior Analytical Development Scientist – Inhalation will also act as the subject matter expert for quality control and the analytical development group for inhalation testing and release for inhalation products.
Responsibilities
- Create thorough and detailed documentation of all experiments and results
- Provide critical assessment of experimental data and interpret results
- Exercise technical discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies and goals
- Create technical reports, summaries and protocols
- Create in-depth scientific presentations for clients, management and colleagues
- Take part in client discussions and data reviews
- Act as subject matter expert and demonstrate excellent professional expertise in technical areas relating to inhalation delivery
- Provide coaching and mentorship to other team members
Requirements
- Significant experience in method development, qualification, and validation around common pulmonary analytical techniques
- Analytical Chemistry Bachelors or Graduate degree, plus significant work experience in analytical chemistry
- Must be familiar with analyzing and interpreting common analytical techniques used for pulmonary applications such as NGI (Next Generation Impactor), DUSA (Dosage Unit Sampling Apparatus), particle sizing, HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography), KF (Karl Fischer)
- Understanding of ICH (International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use) regulatory guidelines related to advancing pulmonary formulations
