Sales Support Officer

Job Summary

An industry leading name within Logistics and Freight is seeking an experienced Sales Support, Shipping to join their team based in Paris.

This is an exciting vacancy offering a generous salary and the opportunity to enhance sales and customer service skills while gaining an excellent insight into the shipping industry.

Responsibilities of the Sales Support Office/shipping include:

• Handling incoming bookings and rate requests by liaising with customers and third party vendors and agents
• Ensuring all import/export processes are compliant with both company and government regulations and guidelines
• Following up on quotes provided to obtain best possible rates and ensuring profitability for all parties
• Establishing strong relationships with customers and freight agents
• Seeking new business development opportunities by sales calls, emails and communications
• Cross selling company services and seeking opportunities to close sales and expand business
• Ensure customer satisfaction to promote repeat business and cultivate lasting relationships with key clients

The Sales Support Officer will:

• Be educated to Masters/Degree standard in a logistics,  shipping or freight
• Have previous customer service or shipping experience
• Be results driven, motivated and passionate about customer service
• Be comfortable working in a pressurised environment collaboratively in a team
• Possess excellent English and French communication skills
• Be computer literate
