Job Summary

Alchemy Global Talent are partnering with a Global Logistics Provider who are looking to recruit for a Ocean Freight Coordinator to be based in their Birmingham office.

This role requires previous experience within Ocean Freight but will be covering all modes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside various departments to provide logistic solutions to clients, from quotation through to booking
  • Liaise with suppliers to gain information on their services and costs
  • Convert the customer queries and enquiries into new bookings
  • Stay in contact with clients to ensure that the company is meeting their needs, and using this as an opportunity to upsell additional services
  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business

Key requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills over the phone and via email
  • Strong customer service background and able to develop great relationships with clients
  • Experience managing client accounts and ability to negotiate
  • 2 years’ experience in international Ocean freight is a must
