Air Freight Manager

Job Summary

We are partnering with a Freight Forwarding company who are looking to hire an experienced Air Freight Manager to join their team near Heathrow.

The Air Freight Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day airfreight operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the airfreight department including staff members
• Ensuring work is carried out on time and meets clients expectations
• Develop the transport network within air freight
• Regularly communicating with new and existing clients
• Quoting and following up on quotes
• Handle any issues or challenges that may arise

Experienced required:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years management / operations experience in air freight
• Experience leading and managing an air freight team, coaching, training and motivating staff
• Good import and export experience and knowledge
• Excellent commercial skills awareness
• Able to work under pressure, to deadlines and multi task
• Strong client management and relationship building skills
