Job Summary

We are partnering with a Multimodal International Freight Forwarding company seeking a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team in Oak Park, Illinois.


  • Generating Airfreight and Oceanfreight new accounts
  • Responsible for developing new marketing opportunities for new and established customers that fit and complement company objectives and plans globally.
  • Generate new Import and Export sales for the company
  • Have sale call specific objectives
  • Conduct face-to-face and other communication protocol discussions with prospects at all levels in their organization
  • Following up on commitments and issues that arise during sales calls
  • Generate new key accounts for the organisation
  • Communicate and coordinate directly with internal teams to develop and execute business development strategies for new and existing customers.
  • Report on performance as required, with insight into changes to customer performance and market impact factors.

Skills Required;

  • Freight forwarding experience
  • Imports/Export experience
  • Extensive sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of the international freight forwarding and supply chain management industry and existing relationships
  • Multi modal shipping experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills, and ability to work independently
