Job Summary

We are urgently seeking an experienced Relocation Specialist to join our client's relocation services team in South Africa.

Duties of the Relocation Specialist include;

  • Coordinating relocation and global mobility services from start to finish
  • Managing a caseload of relocating employees, providing quality client service at all times
  • Supporting vendor management of third party suppliers
  • Building relationships with clients and international assignees
  • Coordinating shipments of household goods moves
  • Acting as the subject matter expert regarding international relocations
  • Providing knowledge and guidance to clients and relocators during their relocation process
  • Sourcing and booking temporary accommodation
  • Managing destination services such as; home search, school search, tenancy negotiation, area tours, tenancy negotiation, language and culture training
  • Conducting pre-assignment briefing calls with the relocating assignee
  • Fostering relationships with HR and assignees whilst managing expectations in relation to the relocation process
  • Negotiating property deals with agents and arranging payment deposits if necessary
  • Terminating tenancy agreements at the end of the assignments
  • Managing the check in/out process of properties ensuring end of tenancy cleaning and organising inventory checks
  • Understanding and following client relocation policies and procedures
  • Invoicing and reporting responsibilities
  • Ensuring records are maintained with accurate data

Experience required:

  • Previous experience managing and coordinating international relocations (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the relocation and household goods moving process (preferred)
  • Keen interest in the global mobility and expatriate services industry
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Fluency in English is essential, fluency in another language would be advantageous
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail with a consultative and pro-active approach to work
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to display confidence and professionalism in all client interactions
