Job Summary

Our client, a well-established retailer, is looking for a Customs Admin to join their growing team based in Nuneaton.

The Customs Admin will be responsible for coordinating customs processes and procedures across various departments within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Examining, evaluating, analysing and presenting data relating to customs
  • Supervising the process of customs classification from start to finish
  • Directing the resolution of queries raised by purchasing and customs teams
  • Identifying areas of improvement and optimising processes
  • Cross-check various sources of information incl. contracts and internal systems
  • Dealing with Irish negotiated suppliers and gathering relevant supplier information across all temperature regimes and product categories
  • Instructing and organizing within the team or other departments in order to efficiently and effectively accomplish assigned tasks
  • Liaising with external customs stakeholders to ensure efficient running of all import related tasks

 

Requirements:

  • 2 – 5 Years’ experience dealing with Customs regulations, processes and procedures
  • Ability to work with Freight Forwarders/3PL companies to ensure all customs information is correct
  • Experience working on AEO accreditation for a company is a plus
  • IT Skills including Microsoft Office Excel
