We are partnering with a fast-developing Office Furniture, Interiors and Facility services firm seeking a Business Development Director in Southfield, Michigan.

You will play a fundamental part in achieving revenue growth and generating new customer acquisition goals.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Director include:

  • Arranging appointments via phone and email with prospects for Account Executives
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and events
  • Partner with industry influencers to acquire new business
  • Generate new leads through business-to-business selling
  • Identify potential business prospects
  • Partner with the data analytics and research department to understand target demographics and customer needs
  • Expand existing network
  • Make use of industry leading style team based approach to identify and hunt corporate clients
  • Participate in industry-specific, lead exchange and economic business groups to identify prospective partners and projects

Skills Required;

  • Background as a Business Development or Sales professional with experience working in Commercial Real Estate, Construction, Commercial Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture or a similar industry
  • Proven track record of building successful client relationships
  • Expert level CRM and data management skills
  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have network in the greater Chicagoland area
