Our client, a busy Freight Forwarding organisation, is looking for a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join their team in Chelmsford, UK.

The Freight Forwarding Sales Executive will be responsible for achieving profitable sales for all products on a multi-trade basis through direct contact with new and existing clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed target in value and volume
  • Achieve activity targets and ensure loaded in CRM with 100% data quality score
  • Plan and organise sale activities
  • Make effective visits to customers to obtain factual information
  • Report accurately on customer visits and customer details on the database
  • Arrange appropriate follow-up of customer visits
  • Expand the boundaries of current business
  • Exceed sales budget
  • Strategies developed to stay ahead of competition
  • Administration and reporting procedures prior to handover of client
  • Adapt to and live the company values

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Knowledge and experience of Freight Forwarding, from a sale as well as an operational point of view.
  • Understanding of the corporate strategy
  • Sales and Marketing experience
  • CRM usage
  • Goal oriented attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical thinking abilities
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Multi-tasking ability
