I am currently seeking an experienced Freight/Logistics Business Development Manager to be based in the North of England.
My client is seeking someone to expand their presence in the NW to enable the companies continued growth.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be selling the complete range of freight and logistics services including Air Freight, Ocean Freight and Road Freight services to new customers and building up a portfolio of key account clients,
with the objective to win opportunities with Small, Medium to large enterprises.
You will be targeted on achieving new business sales plus retention of existing key account business in line with specified targets (to be discussed and expanded on)
The Ideal Person:
Any freight, courier, transportation or logistics backgrounds considered - as long as you are a polished, accomplished business developer
The most important quality to possess to apply for this position is a strong business development focus
Some leads are provided however we are looking for driven, ambitious and self-motivated individuals that match the dynamic nature of this business
As clients are not tied to long term contracts this is a real relationship sell so you have must able to 'sell themselves' and win people over
Must be Target and solutions driven and be able to turn challenging situations into promising opportunities.
Ability to generate their own new business leads through; Cold calling, knocking on doors and generally being pro-active.
There is an excellent package available, including a great basic, car allowance, commission etc.
