Our client, a prominent relocation firm committed to offering flawless moving solutions for individuals and businesses in Minneapolis and beyond, is looking for a highly organised and experienced Moving Warehouse Supervisor to manage their warehouse operations.

The ideal applicant will have extensive experience in logistics, inventory management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all areas of warehouse operations, such as receiving, storing, organising, and transporting products.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that all safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Optimise space utilisation by implementing effective warehouse layout and storage strategies.
  • Carry out regular inventory counts and audits to verify correctness.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to monitor inventory levels and predict demand.
  • Implement methods to reduce inventory shrinkage and damage.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse employees.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to warehouse colleagues, and verify that they are executed correctly and timely.
  • Motivate team members to maintain high productivity and quality levels.
  • Implement quality control methods to guarantee that all goods fulfil company specifications prior to dispatch.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming and leaving cargo to ensure accuracy and condition.
  • Respond to any quality issues or consumer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Keep accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and other warehouse operations.
  • Create reports based on warehouse performance parameters such as productivity, accuracy, and inventory turnover.
  • Provide management with regular information on warehouse operations and performance.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in the moving or transportation industries.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, as well as the ability to successfully motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, as well as a sharp eye for detail.
  • Expertise in inventory management software and Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Understanding of safety rules and best practices for warehouse operations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
